Chime has changed my life in so many ways I never knew a bank could. From getting my checks earlier to there totally awesome spot me that lets you overdraft without the worry of any hidden fees. The amount grows in time and it don’t take long at all. They even have and additional get your check earlier where it allows you to get up to 500$ of your next weeks check. I don’t know how many times where I got into a hard spot and I knew that chime had my back. I’ve also learned that my credit score went from a 610 to 755 in a year of using chime. That was before I even used chime credit builder. Chime is all around a great bank I have had them for 5 years now and they keep coming up with ways to surprise me. They have an amazing customer support, very easy to work with very professional. I could sit here all day listing all that chime has to offer and I’m being for real. I’m not paid by chime for this review. Chime has just been there for me and I feel like I should return the favor. You won’t loose anything from trying them out. They even have referral offers. You refer a friend and they will give you and your friend 150$ sometimes more then that. Person you refer has to sign up for direct deposit through work and receive your first check on it, then money is yours. I can go on and on but I have said enough. Welcome to chime. Chime has helped my credit SO MUCH with their credit builder app it has gone up over a hundred points and this is after my credit tanked when I couldn’t pay my student loans. It may not help everyone depending on your history and you got to stick to it and keep using it. I noticed my credit already capped out and isn’t growing anymore so you gotta pay your debts! The new update is amazing! It tracks how much you pay in bills every month, how much you’re making, it tracks and shows you your credit score and the day you’re getting paid and all information is right next to your money amount and all details accessible with a click. Unfortunately I don’t trust a non existent physical bank to hold all my savings so I transfer all that to another bank. They make bank transfers easy and free. They don’t have any fees AT ALL. I don’t think I’ve ever paid them for anything. Over draft has no fees. They do ask for tips when you pay back the overdraft but that’s up to the user. I do feel like I owe them for how much they’ve helped me so far”maybe” I’ll tip them one of these days haha. Overall the detail and the easy use of this app is amazing next to any other bank it’s not even a comparison the Chime app is levels above any other Banks app maybe because the app is the bank.

A good and simple banking service

Chime is just what you would expect out of a bank. You can open a checking and savings account just as you would with any other banking service. One of the main things that stand out to me over other banks is their app UI, it’s very simple and clean, making it easy to find what your looking for. I absolutely hate that most bank apps have so much stuff on their UI that you can forget where things are. Chime keeps everything neat by keeping what’s important easy to see and the rest of it under the settings. The SpotMe feature kind of feels like a gimmick. I thought it was cool at first but the main problem with it is that they are turning overwithdrawals into a “I got your back” feature; almost as if they are encouraging it. The only difference with the SpotMe feature is that you will not be charged a fee for doing so. I personally think it’s a bad idea because this feature can encourage bad financial decisions, especially because they offer boosts that increases the amount you can overwithdraw. It’s a nice feature to have when your struggling but it shouldn’t be encouraged. Also, one of the downsides to it is that you can only use the SpotMe for online purchases but not for paying bills which begs the question, “is this really to help you or is it to encourage spending over your balance for things you want?”. Aside from this feature it’s a pretty good making service.

I like Chime for the most part besides the overdraft limit comes in day by day so if you get $500 over draft you technically only get like so much of that overdraft daily starting out it’s like $25 I been with Chime now for over a year and just now getting $50 a day overdraft limit it’s just ridiculous. Especially when you need to pay a bill or get groceries. Rather than that easy to use. I didn’t like a bigMoney transaction amount of a dispute that was wrongfully charged for a car that was even fixed Chime denied my dispute when I sent in screenshots of text messages receipts documents thru emails pics and videos for evidence and proof I just paid for services that the car place did not fix at all. I even ask them to give me my money back before contacting my bank they said no that they would have a mechanic take a look at it. They lied about test driving it too I didn’t get 2 miles down the road before my engine shot to overheating out of nowhere and almost cause even more damage’s to my vehicle luckily I acted quickly and had to sit for an hour two miles down from the shop to wait for them to bring a tow truck right down the road to bring it back. So futureReference Chime dispute team my claim of my dispute was black and white with all the proof so the fact my bank who holds my money should protect my money at all cost especially for something that is straight up crooked and that didn’t receive services that I had paid for!

This week, we fixed a few bugs and polished up the app—kind of like our new Titanium Chime Card. The color is called Titanium, but it’s not actually titanium. We know. Feels like an Abbott and Costello bit. “What’s the card made of? Titanium?” “No” “But it’s the Titanium card?” “Yes”. ”So you’re saying it is titanium?” “Yes.” “So then that’s what it’s made of?” “No.” Names can be confusing, but if you hit update, the app’s going to run more straightforward than ever.
